Lyrics
I ain’t one to bitch out on an opportunity so watch out world I’m coming
No more running, no more running
So amma dive into the deep end, the Monday feeling on a weekend
It makes me feel a little different, the bourbon bottle maybe needed
I’ll take a sip and maybe take another one, by 3 am I’ll tell them bring another round
by 4 am they’re bodies knocked out on the ground, said amma dive into the deep end the deep end Yeahhh
I ain’t fronting, forming nothing
Talking big but never bluffing
When it comes to books I’m Kinda useless
When it comes to you I’m kinda clueless
It’s only on the mic that I find my stride
And when it’s time to fight the beat is on my side
So, close your eyes and let me take you on a ride Cause I know somethings waiting for you on the other side
Listen stride stay steady, always ready
Hustle like, Ed Edd and eddy
Bad like Freddie so, man stay deadly (MAN STAY DEADLY)
I ain’t one to play with my money
That’s something you shouldn’t find funny Amma come like a bear and switch up on all of your honey’s
I ain’t one to bitch out on an opportunity so watch world i’m coming
No more running, no more running
So amma dive into the deep end, the Monday feeling on a weekend
It makes me feel a little different, the bourbon bottle maybe needed
So amma dive into the deep end, the Monday feeling on a weekend
It makes me feel a little different, The bourbon bottle maybe needed
I’ll take a sip and maybe take another one by 3 am I’ll tell them bring another round by 4 am they’re bodies knocked out in the ground Said amma dive into the deep end the deep end Yeahhh
End.
About
Tangban wealth Effang Jones known simply by his stage name as Effang is a singer song writer from Cross River State, Nigeria. Deep end was written on the 10th of October 2018 and released on sound cloud and iTunes on 20th of January 2019. This catchy song was produced, mixed and mastered by Joe and Jones the Ikom boy. It is my favorite song of the month because the lyrics are so original and relatable. He takes you back in time to one of the classic cartoons of the 2000’s; Ed and Edd and Eddy. He even reminds you of the villain in a night mare on Elm street; Freddie Kruger. Such a classic play on words intended not just to make you smile but ignite memories.
With words like no more ‘bitching’ out on opportunity and no more running, he encourages you to stay true to your hustle and always be ready for whatever comes your way whether good or bad. This song has its own separate playlist on my phone and come Monday, I’ll be needing a bourbon bottle.
